Chris Wheeler

Chris is a “people person” who is passionate about connecting people with their dream homes.  Her mission statement: “To serve my clients with honesty and integrity and provide unprecedented service.”  She was born and raised in South County where her family owned and operated Gilroy Lumber Company, Inc.  Giving back to the community was at the foundation of her family life; service to others is the mantra they shared. 

The process of selling and buying property can be arduous and Chris is very familiar with the challenges her clients face from start to finish.  She has been a real estate professional since 2010 and had listed and/or sold ranchettes, duplexes, triplexes, single family homes, condos, townhomes and mobile homes.  Chris especially enjoys working with first-time home buyers and investors.  She is committed to paving a smooth road along the process and strives to create solutions to obstacles that may arise. At the end of the day, client satisfaction is paramount in her business philosophy.  “Whatever it takes to get the job done,” resonates in her conversations with clients. 

Chris was an elementary educator for 20 years prior to entering the real estate profession.  She is driven by her passion for education having earned a BS from Oregon State University, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Jose State University and an MA from Santa Clara University.  She is a Certified Negotiation Expert and has earned a GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designation.

Over the course of the past 30 years, Chris has been involved with community organizations having served as President of Gilroy Garlic Festival in 1993.  She currently serves on the Strategic Planning Group for the Gilroy Garlic Festival, the Gilroy Foundation as an Ambassador and works with the Community Solutions Holiday Giving Program.  She has volunteered with the Morgan Hill Downtown Halloween Celebration, Taste of Morgan Hill and 4th of July Celebration for Coldwell Banker.

When she isn’t assisting her clients and volunteering her time, Chris loves to spend time with her family which includes two grandsons and a jolly chocolate Lab.  She loves to play tennis, golf and work in her yard.
